Farmers Market HoursDays, hours and seasons from USDA listings
7,129 markets in 52 states2,306 with days and hours on fileHow we use the data

Most markets keep a season.

A farmers market is usually one or two mornings a week for part of the year, so "is it open" has three parts: is the season running, is today a market day, and is it that time of day. Each market page answers all three from the season, days and hours the market reported to the USDA, in the market's own time zone.

When a listing has no days or hours, we read them from the market's own website where it states them plainly (674 markets, each page saying so with the date read). Otherwise the page says hours are not on file and links to the market's site instead of guessing.

Open or closed is calculated from the season, days and hours each market reported to the USDA, or posted on its own website: 2,306 of the 7,129 markets have them on file. Weather, holidays and mid-season changes are not in the file, so each page links to the market's own site. We are not a government agency and no page here sells anything on a market's behalf.
